In it’s 8th Year – The Ocean’s Run ½ Marathon and 4 Miler has a great new venue and super new course! This race has always been a great tune-up for Boston and other early Spring Marathons or just a great ½ to complete. This race winds through the quiet Westerly beach communities of Misquamicut and Weekapaug. There are water views at nearly every stretch of the race. With hardly any climbs to speak of, this race is fast and furious!! The race starts and finish at the Misquamicut State Beach!

Packet Pickup and New Registrations

All participants (parent/guardian if minor) must sign a waiver form at packet pickup. You may have a fellow racer pickup your packet by SIGNING and giving to them a Adult Participant USATF Waiver. Give the SIGNED Adult Participant USATF Waiver to a fellow racer, and we will gladly give them your packet. Without a SIGNED Adult Participant USATF Waiver, we will not give out your packet to another racer. NO EXCEPTIONS! Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at the time of packet pickup.

Race Day Parking

All parking is conveniently located at the race venue – The Misquamicut State Beach!

Running Requirements

We offer an early start for our athletes that need a bit more than 3 hours! Your race will start at 8:30am sharp! This is not for athletes who just want to start early – you throw off our timing – please do not use this option unless you legitimately need more than 3 hours on our course!!!!

Athlete Bag Drop

There is an Athlete Bag Drop Area available for your morning clothes. You will receive a tag with your bib number on it. Simply place your clothes in your favorite bag, stick on the tag on front and drop off at our bag drop area. We will keep for you! There will also be additional clothing bins at every water station if you need to drop clothes as you go!

Athlete Amenities

All athletes, 4miler and ½ Marathon receive event shirts and finisher medals! All athletes and Volunteers over 21 – receiver (1) complimentary beer at The BikeStop Cafe in Narragansett! All Kids’ fun Run Athletes get a t-shirt and finisher swag!

Course Amenities

Visible mile markers at every mile.
Road arrows and turn signs to clearly mark the course.
Fluid stations at every mile.
Clif Shot Mocha and Vanilla Gels, water, flattened soda and First Endurance Lemon-Lime Endurance Drink on course from mile 6 and up.
Gold Fish, pretzels and Bananas on course from Mile 6 and up.
Water is also available at the race start and finish line.
Toilets at start and finish area and at various points along the route.
Top notch medical and volunteer support along course.
All 1/2 Marathon & 5K Finishers receive event shirt & finisher medal.
Athlete Bag Drop Tent to store your clothes while you race.
Heated Athlete Tent.
Clothes Drop Bins at all water stations in case you need to drop clothes along the course!
All Kids’ Fun Run athletes get a t-shirt and finisher medal!
Clif Shot Mocha & Vanilla Gels + Water on DEMAND bike support provided by bike support.
Sweeper Biker.
Athletes who project finish time at approx. 3 hours or more – earlier race start at 8:30am!
